‘Score’ for “Ben, Relax. I’m Going to Float Your Skull.”
For two electric guitars and four delay pedals (preferably 2 digital, 2 analog)
Identical chains for both guitars - digital delay -> analog delay
Set first delay to about 3 seconds, second delay to about 5 seconds
Slowly increase the time of delay on first pedal throughout piece
Swell on 4 note clusters:
D-A-D
D-A-B (w/ occasional harmonics)
F#-C-E
A-E-F# (w/ occasional harmonics)
Move slowly and arbitrarily, don’t do anything in order, do what “feels right”
Play for about 20 minutes
